Introduction
I spent most of 2006 in Afghanistan - based in Kabul, although I travelled around quite a lot. You may find these photographs give you some idea of the country. The quality is not always high, as many were taken from helicopters and Land Rovers, and they are by no means comprehensive. For example, I have very few good people or domestic pictures, as taking these can easily give offence; nor have I included any photographs which show colleagues or the places where we worked, for reasons which are obvious enough.
Nevertheless, I hope they are of some interest.
