I don't normally answer this kind of circular quiz, but this one caught my fancy on Harriet Devine's blog, perhaps because several of her answers were the same as mine might have been. So here goes:
What is your favourite word? There are thousands, but plangent is very fine.
What is your least favourite word? Posh is pretty dreadful; any word misused.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Mountains and green spaces, moving water.
What turns you off? 1960s architecture, pretension, sentimentality.
What is your favorite curse word? It's a family site, so I couldn't possibly say. But I used it for years at school not realising that it meant a sexual act that then I didn't even know existed!
What sound or noise do you love? I'm with Harriet on this one - rushing water, also dry leaves around my feet, and the susurration of pebbles caught by a receding wave.
What sound or noise do you hate? Fingernails on a blackboard.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Gardening, the law (as a barrister).
What profession would you not like to do? Nursing (thank God for that, say all potential patients).
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Jane Austen reads from her books every Thursday; today, it's the completed version of The Watsons!
Marvellous answers!

If Glo visits Ms Cornflower, she will find out a little more about him as he has also answered this quiz.

One of my favourite words is the Italian verb 'sgattaiolare' which means 'to run away in a hurry like a... cat'.
Everybody would recall having seen at least once a very busy and aim-focused cat running no one knows where and hence this word...
Anyway, I am glad our wonderful cat is still here and I hope he will always remain with us.

I'm very glad you got around to doing this! And I LOVED the final answer. Oh what a joy that would be.
