The acanthus in the garden is looking very fine just now, although the subtle colours don't always seem easy to capture in a photograph! But in big clumps massed around the pond, they're very fine. This one is acanthus mollis.
The leaves are very beautiful, too, and are often found in Greek architecture, most notably in Corinthian pillar capitals.
This is my first time i visit here. I found interesting things to many in your blog, mostly to the debate.
